Question : How is Jazz drum style different or the same as Rock drum style?
Welcome to my all things creative music blog. I love interesting ways of looking at things and making correlations with subjects that normally would not be associated with each other. Here you will find videos of music performances, tutorials, and editorials about the ever changing world of music. If you have questions about music, feel free to post. I will do my best to find the best possible answer available to me and the world wide web.

Yeah, it does have a few differences. the style. I guess rock is more.. Louder. I don't really know..
ReplyDeleteA rock drum line is more faster louder and more more. while jazz is slow and a little softer, and more simple.
ReplyDeleteThe drum i guess is just more rhythmic and has a certain feel to it. Rock is just... i dont know how to explain. but the feeling of the drums between rock and jazz are very different
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't sound as crazy and loud as Rock seems like there really hitting hard and jazz doesn't
ReplyDeleteit just sounds better and less crazy
ReplyDeleteJazz is more busy and intricate as to where rock drumming is more linear.
ReplyDeletejass is more syncopated than rock also rock used a back beet not the front beet like jass.
ReplyDeleteI guess rock would be louder and faster, while the jazz would be softer and slower. Other than that, I'm not really sure . . .
ReplyDeleteJazz is slower, but its actually fairly similar
