ReplyDeleteI was very impressed to hear that Mr. Starr is still producing music. I still wish the band had held together longer. I am interested in the new CD, and I'm glad to know that Mr. Starr is adjusting well.
ReplyDeleteI very much enjoyed the article regarding the band who recorded their entire album using iPhones. It left me asking one question: Why?
ReplyDeleteI don't exactly see the practical applications of recording using lower quality equipment. If it was for budget reasons I could understand, but it seems more like it was done for the sheer novelty of the idea. Honestly, it almost seems like a bit of a publicity stunt. By recording their music in this way, they're drawing attention to themselves and thus possibly gaining more fans, or at least garnering interest. It honestly isn't that big of a deal, but I believe that it attests to human being's needs and desires to stand out and consumer's need to quench curiosity.
